Phil Christmas Special 3
Steve is a lazy ass and that’s why this one is late. See you in 09!
Steve is a lazy ass and that’s why this one is late. See you in 09!
In order to revel properly for the oncoming new year of economic ruin and terror, Steve and I are taking a Phil-Phast and this week will be the last one of the year of 2008!!!
Also, these took Steve forever to do. So he wants a break.
I bet you’re thinking, wait, there already is a Phil blog, and its this one!
You’re right. But we thought, why not another one with all sorts of juicy inside Phil knowledge!!! So here it is!
This week marks the final full week Phil will run in UCONN’s Daily Campus. Phil wouldn’t exist if it ran in the Daily Campus, as its format forced Steve and I to get off our lazy asses and make three new comics a week. Otherwise we’d just dick around and accomplish nothing, but it provided us with hard deadlines we had to adhere to.
This jumped right on top of us while we weren’t thinking about it, so we were thinking of a week to sort of give something of a Phil style send off, or at least a cliffhanger. The plot right now is just developing that we can’t end anything, or really dramatically change anything, but this week we tried to put in a bit of a punch for our final run in the Daily Campus.
I bet you love reading Phil, after all, you’re reading Phil, so that’s the only reaction that you can have to it. Steve and I love writing and drawing Phil for you! Now that that is all in place, we’d like to tell you that next week we’re going to be running five days straight. That’s right, a new Phil Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Its election week! Will Phil beat Barack Obama and John McCain, or will their milk fearing ways give them a railway right to the White House? Find out this and so much more next week, in our exciting five day election week!!!
Since we now have a whole ton of Phils, and the number doesn’t need to be padded out, and we’ve been running well for a while, I’ve gotten rid of all the 2003-2005 Phils. They clashed with the current run, and I was getting a few confused comments from people who were baffled and angry by the jarring differences between poorly drawn paint and actually drawn Phil.
Love,
Ben
